πŸš’ The West Haven Fire Department visited 4th graders at Washington today! Students got to learn how the firefighters use their equipment when they respond to calls while getting a first-hand look at all of it, including a walk-through of the fire truck! Firefighter Tucker also demonstrated how tall the ladder is and its capabilities. Principal Limosani was given a ride and was amazed at the beautiful views of West Haven, while students inside and outside the school waved her on. The WHFD also used this time to kick off the annual poster contest, β€œFire Prevention Everyone Everyday.”

The annual Halloween event, which will be the first of many, was hosted by PTA and allowed families to come decorate tables, give out candy, play games, or do crafts! Also pictured are Mrs. Healy, Mrs. Reynolds, and Ms. Britton showing students how to carve a pumpkin! The kids first watched a video before getting their hands into the mix. Students will then write about it with step-by-step instructions on how to carve a pumpkin.
