Today, 25 years later, we pause to remember September 11, 2001, and the lives forever changed by that day. Throughout West Haven Public Schools, students and staff found different ways to honor and learn from the events of 9/11, whether through educational videos, learning about the brave firefighters and police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice, hearing the inspiring legacy of the Man in the Red Bandanna, writing letters of appreciation to our first responders here in West Haven, listening to a PA announcement, or simply seeing the flag lowered and knowing why we honor this day. These moments, big and small, are important reminders that we must continue to teach, remember, and honor the lives and legacies connected to that day. 25 years later, we remember, we honor, and we will never forget. ❤️🤍💙

Today, we welcomed our newest teachers to the West Haven Public Schools family with New Teacher Orientation at West Haven High School!
New staff had the opportunity to meet members of our central office team, hear from Superintendent Cavallaro and Assistant Superintendent Fronc, connect with department heads, and learn important information as they prepare for the start of the school year on Monday.
We’re excited to have such a great group of new teachers joining our district and can’t wait to see all they accomplish this year! 💙🤍

Washington Elementary School celebrated its 4th Grade Graduation today! Principal Limosani and the 4th grade teachers shared heartfelt reflections on the school year before students were called up to receive their certificates. The ceremony concluded with a special video celebrating this memorable milestone. We are so proud of all of our 4th graders and will miss them as they move on to Carrigan Intermediate School next year. Congratulations and best of luck on your next adventure! 🎓💛🎉
