
The West Haven Prevention Council has two events coming up soon, an 'Unwind Your Mind' event on Friday, January 19th for students in grades 2-8, and a 'Student Billboard Contest' for students in grades 6-12. Please see the flyers below for more information.

Under the direction of Washington’s art teacher, Mrs. Flanagan, Santiago Giron Guerra took first place with his poster design! The annual contest, hosted by the West Haven Fire Department, has students design a poster that shares ways to prevent fires and be safe. The theme is “Fire Prevention, Everyone, Everyday”. Santiago’s poster has now earned him a spot to compete at the state level.



REMINDER | There will be no school on Monday, January 15th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Due to the projected forecast, tomorrow's Learn to Skate program has been canceled and is now scheduled to begin on Sunday, January 14th.

The West Haven High School Theatre Workshop performed its Children’s Theatre Show, “A Little Town of Christmas” for all of our 4th graders in the district on both Wednesday and Thursday of this week!

Washington Elementary School celebrated 36 students who had perfect attendance from the first day of school to the end of November! They were encouraged to keep up the great work and to continue to prioritize attendance!

3rd grade students at Washington got a chance to learn about our state’s geography with a huge floor sized map. They explored the various bodies of water, topography, located various cities, and used the map key to measure miles between spots.
