Donna Goldsmith – through a grant from West Haven’s Youth & Family Services – recently taught our 4th graders at Washington the EFT tapping technique!
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. It allows a person to validate how they are feeling (sad, happy, anxious, etc.) and use a systemic tapping approach while talking through how one is feeling so one can better regulate his/her emotions.
.The students did a good job stepping out of their comfort zone to participate in this calming technique!

Bailey’s Fantastic Friends had another wonderful celebration of friendship. The day started with a special luncheon for all friends, then a craft, then a visit from Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. After that, all of the friends decorated and ate delicious sugar cookies provided by our very own food service. At the end of our amazing celebration, the friends had a holiday gift swap. It was a magical day!

Students and staff at Mackrille wore their pajamas to school today for the PJ Day for the Kids campaign! Everyone gathered in the auditorium to sing holiday songs, and the kids received a nice surprise when Santa entered the room and joined in the sing-along! PJ Day is a fun and meaningful way to raise funds and awareness for kids fighting cancer at Connecticut Children's, as families donate money to wear their PJs.
