The New Haven Register featured an article about Washington School's 'Night to Reminisce', which took place Wednesday, April 26th inside the school. The article, written by Brian Zahn, features quotes from alumni who revisited the school for the first time in a long time as they relived memories from their time there as either a student or a teacher.
Washington School, built in 1909, is planned to be demolished this summer as the district prepares for the construction of a new building that will be more accessible and compliant with modern educational and architectural needs.
