About: I teach kindergarten. This is my 5th year teaching kindergarten and my 5th year at Washington School!
Hobbies: When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Nicholas, for 25 years. I have 2 daughters, Joey and Devin. They are my greatest accomplishments! You can often find me curled up with a good book, walking West Haven's beautiful boardwalk, or playing with my pets, Buster (12-year-old Bassett Hound) and my kitties, Ruca & Peach.
Fun Facts: I love all types of music. I cannot go a day without it. I grew up on The Beatles and Barry Manilow, mostly. However, I am obsessed with Dave Matthews Band. I have been a fan since the early nineties. I will be seeing them in concert 5 times this summer in 3 different states (CT, NY, and NH).
Michael Stefura
About: I teach third grade at Washington School. This is my second-year teaching and my second-year teaching at Washington.
Hobbies: I like to be active so I am either working out or playing sports. I love going to concerts and going to the beach. When the weather won't let me do these things, I love to play video games and go to the movies instead.
Fun Facts: I have a sister and mother who have been teachers in West Haven, too! I am a huge New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan! I have been on a Co-Ed Softball team for over eight years in Trumbull and Shelton, winning the championship three years in a row from 2018-2020.
