Mission Statement
The
mission of Washington Elementary School is to work in partnership with
parents/guardians and the community to enable our students to become
independent, respectful, confident and responsible citizens who
respect diversity. We expect our students to strive to reach their
maximum potential academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.
As a result of our commitment, students will become life-long learners

Our Beliefs
Washington Elementary School believes:
- Every child has the right to learn in a safe, orderly, nurturing, and supportive environment.
- Every child can and will learn.
- Every
child has the right to a challenging academic program in which he/she
has equal access to the same learning experiences, curricula, and
materials in the least restrictive environment.
- Children learn best when they are actively involved and engaged in their learning.
- That
an educational program builds on learning experiences that develop
learners who are capable of making informed decisions , as well as
expressing themselves effectively.
- In promoting multicultural
awareness where students are provided opportunities to talk about
prejudice, stereotyping, tolerance, and benefits of diversity.
- All staff members are responsible for the education of all the children in the school.
