Mr. Bellonio--Physical Education

About me:

I have been teaching Physical Education at Washington School for three years.  Prior to coming to Washington School, I coached college hockey at Wesleyan University.  While coaching at Wesleyan I was fortunate enough to get my masters from there as well.

Sports have played an intricate part of my life.  Still to this day I enjoy playing all sports. I truly love teaching and watching the students play and find the same enjoyment in sports as I have.

What to Expect:

The students of Washington School will engage in a large variety of physical activities, from different sports such as soccer and hockey to skill development, team bonding games and cross curriculum activates.

The students of Washington School will be encouraged to try different games and activities to push themselves to get better and to work together.

Rules of the Gym:

I have a few simple rules to the gym.

  1. Work Hard
  2. Be nice to each other
  3. Have Fun

Why is Physical Activity Important:

Physical fitness is an important component to leading a healthy lifestyle. The inclusion of regular fitness activity helps students maintain fitness, develop muscular strength and improve cardiovascular health.
